Extremely important. Yes, that’s right. Extremely important for everything that you do, affecting all aspects of your life.
The brain is an amazing piece of equipment, with a myriad of functions
Within it is housed the hippocampus, a small that regulates emotions. The hippocampus is associated mainly with memory, in particular long-term memory. This organ also plays an important role in spatial navigation. Known as the master switchboard, it’s the part of the brain that controls the endocrine system. The pituitary gland, connected by a thin stalk from the hypothalamus, is called the master gland of the body because it regulates the activity of the endocrine glands. The endocrine system is kept in check with the hypothalamus detecting levels of hormones, and sending a message to the pituitary gland, which releases or stops releasing certain hormones within the body..
The prefrontal cortex of the brain maintains various functions, and when damaged manifests with dramatic personality, problems with fine motor movement and physical strength, behavioral issues, problem solving, memory, language initiation, judgment, impulse control, and social and sexual behavior, and even misjudgment of body/spacial relationships.
Hyperactivity, moods, depression, learning and reading abilities, being able to start and follow through on tasks, creativity, the ability to set up love and bond with other people, sight, feeling, taste, and hearing all have a direct correlation to the brain and how it’s functioning.
Sleep is also a function of the brain. It produces melatonin which induces sleep and causing certain other functions of the body to shut down, and brain activity is increased as well as liver cleansing and other healing functions.
Endorphins are released during certain activities, which result in a happy feeling. Some serotonin is produced within the brain and affects affect mood and social behavior, appetite and digestion, sleep, memory and sexual desire and function.
When a person’s brain is damaged, not working properly (because of damage, poor nutrition, toxins, unused, disease, or any other reason), every area of a person’s body is affected, affecting most of their life as well.
Because of it’s great importance, Dr. Curtin has developed an extensive Brain Health protocol for use by practitioners, to help people discover the stressors in their brains, that are related to other areas of their bodies and lives as well, and to help get people what they need to heal themselves. Our bodies are amazing in their healing abilities, once the proper conditions are in place. Good nutrition, detoxification of harmful substances, exercise, good oxygen flow, and directed attention work, all help the body to heal it’s brain, and other affected parts.
Daniel Amen, M.D., has done extensive work with the brain and how it affects people. Using a SPECT machine and having patients ingest a radioactive isotope which is carried to the brain, images of neurological firing and blood flow can be detected. However, there are few of these SPECT machines around the United States, and the price is prohibitive for many. Also, drug therapy is often used, which is addictive and only helps direct brain function, but never helps a person heal.
Using the IQS™ System, practitioners can help their patients by both discovering what issues are affecting them, and what is needed to help that person get well. Natural means are used, such as diet, exercise, directed attention, and detoxification, as well as essential oils, and other natural means. I’m excited that millions of people will now be able to get the help they need, and improve their lives in a truly lasting way!
